I cannot believe that this is a Sony TV, I have a KDL-40W2000 which has been a brilliant set which I bought in 2006. It is far better in many respects apart from the teletex storage. The KC-32W800 is slow in response times has a poor EPG which is slow and I cannot get the teletext to work.

I bought the W800 to replace an old TV that had seen better days. After investigating available options that met my requirements, I ended up settling on the Sony. Naturally, it is a name that is well respected & produces good equipment. With regard to the W800, it is a stylish & well finished product. Picture & sound quality is what you would expect & so far has not failed to impress. There are a lot of features available to the user of the W800, but so far I have not had cause to employ all of them yet. The reason for the 4 star rating is that I think the remote is not quite as positive in all aspects, as I think it should be. This could be just a personal observation, but that's the reason for honest reviews - isn't it?

Bought this 2 weeks ago to replace a 13yo Sony flat panel 20". Worried that it might be complicated to set up as this.is the first connected TV I got, but everuthing, the set-up and the actual use, is so intuitionally tuned and easy. Imptessed.

Great little TV

Bought to replace an 11-yr old 24in Panasonic. The 32in Sony is large enough for our small sitting room. Managed to install it, and link it to Wi-Fi, a sound bar and an HD drive with surprisingly little hassle. Great picture, although full HD might have been better, and reasonable sound, but the sound bar really makes a difference. A good purchase.

I purchased this 2 weeks ago and have now discovered that I can only view programmes on BBC iPlayer in black and white, and without sub-titles. I am deaf and this latter point is a sad miss. Perhaps less important but still annoying is that this model does not allow channels to be re-numbered.

Impossible to record programmes

Great picture and sound but it’s impossible to record programmes using the USB HDD facility. The help function appears not to relate to my TV. The online manual also does not give clear instructions that relate to my TV. I a, not happy.

Reasonable replacement for old Bravia TV

Have now had my new Sony Bravia TV (32 inch) for 3 weeks and generally happy. However, there are 2 issues that potential buyers need to be aware of. 1. The feet supplied with the TV are quite flimsy and not very high. Consequently, my existing sound bar (also Sony) partially covers the bottom of the screen. 2. I have an existing membership with BritBox but do not seem to be able to add this App. Have ended up having to buy a Fire Stick to be able to watch BritBox, which does not seem to make sense. Otherwise quite happy with the new TV

Additionally, BritBox app is part of live TV and catchup. Your Android TV supports both FreeView and YouView. However, it requires an aerial to be connected to your TV to get FreeView channels, you may get in touch with an antenna specialist for more information about connecting an aerial. Also, it requires a broadband internet connection to get the on-demand applications (Catch-up TV) such as BBC IPlayer, ITV, etc.

Ho comprato questo articolo qualche settimana fa. La TV Sony W800 è un'ottima TV ma con alcuni bug. Lentezza nel cambio dei canali digitando un tasto numerico del telecomando (per esempio 1). Problema che non si presenta quando usi i tasti avanti e indietro per passare al prossimo canale o precedente. Il telecomando non permette la ricerca vocale perché non viene riconosciuto in fase di associazione nonostante prema i tasti volume- e il tasto con i pallini colorati come indicato nella guida. Lista dei preferiti non facilmente accessibile e con un procedimento farraginoso per modificare l'ordine dei canali. Senza questi bug sarebbe una TV perfetta per la fascia medio bassa (io l'ho pagato 349 euro in offerta).

A well designed tv apart from its spindly looking legs. We haven’t worked out how to use the android controls yet as there is no direct link to the terms and conditions which have to be accepted before we proceed - this appears, online, to be a common problem and there seem to be various solutions none of which we quite understand; perhaps we’re the wrong generation for this set!

Had set a couple of weeks; some confusion over set up by installers that was not Sony’s fault. All now appears to be working properly, especially as I have now printed 44-page manual. Reason only gets four stars is that the remote is one of those skinny jobs with fiddly little buttons

Fantástico tv para dormitorio

Compré este tv para el dormitorio ya que buscaba en un tamaño compacto, y este de 32" era perfecto. El televisor cumple sobradamente con su cometido muy buena imagen, sistema Android tv con acceso a plataformas de streming con funcionamiento muy correcto y fluido. En cuanto al sonido el que se podría esperar para un tv de este tamaño un sonido correcto sin más, de todas formas uso auriculares que se emparejan con bluetooth perfectamente, con lo que prácticamente no uso el volumen del tv nunca. Resumiendo le doy en general 5 estrellas como siempre todo lo que tengo en casa Sony calidad, fiabilidad y electrónica nº1 en el mercado de tv.

Compre un Sony Bravía ya que el que tenía era de la misma marca y aún sigue funcionando perfectamente después de más de15 años. Lo he cambiado porque tenía una marca en la pantalla, como una quemadura y he preferído hacerlo antes de que se estropease del todo. Muy satisfecha.

Not a very good product

I would not recommend this product model to anyone because of the following reasons: 1. There have been cases of TV Programme Audio over riding the Audio on Streaming Services. IE Judge John Deed talking over GCN+ cycling programmes 2. Streaming Services not operating correctly with programmes Buffering after a short period of viewing. 3. Long delay (15seconds+) between pressing the remote to TV operating. 4. When trying to activate "Settings" the TV goes to various different pages. 5. No means of programming channels for reminders. 6. No Volume when changing from Streaming Service to TV The answer to these problems from Sony is to Switch the TV off at the mains supply for 2 mins and it will reset the processor. This course of action is Ok on the odd occasion but i have been having to do this quite often (at least twice a day) This particular TV has a manufacture date of 12/22 (Dec 2022) and I suspect it is using an alternative Processor because of the Worldwide shortage of Electronic Chips. -

Not a great screen, very slow in operation, after owning it for a few months I would say there is a lot better TV's and cheaper that are a lot better.

Too eary to say. Bought this 3 weeks ago, and all is as one expects from Sony. However, this is to replace a similar model that started malfunctining (the sis red light flashes) after 4 years. Lost the receipt of course. I dont expect this to repeat itself if I am to remain loyal to the brand.

I bought this to replace an older tv. I wanted something which enabled my PS5 to utilise HDR and improve the quality of the game. I didn’t want to increase the screen size and so there wasn’t a great deal of choice. It was easy to setup and utilised my existing wall mount. The number of hdmi sockets is just right. The sound is good. The controls are good and it was easy to get to grips with. Easy to connect to broadband.

Always liked Sony Bravia and decided to replace my old Bravia, just wish I'd got a slightly bigger one, e.g 43" which would still have fitted into the space taken up with the 32". However, I'm delighted with it.

Desde el primer encendido te das cuenta que estás delante de un aparato de características superiores al resto. La calidad de imagen y sonido, incluido la transmisión de la TDT supera a cualquier otra marca. Puedes configurar y hacer caso cualquier cosa que me se necesite para adaptarla a tus gustos. El Smart TV nativo de Google funciona genial. Todo un acierto y totalmente recomendable.

Having had a previous Sony TV from 2011 and never having a problem we decided again on Sony and the Smart TV we're enjoying this one even more and it's easy to use the only small grumble is it does seem to have a reminder function like the old one.

Sony appear not to have heard of Microsoft or Apple because they don’t benchmark their product offerings or customer service against such companies. They appear not to test simple Apps like BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, More 4 or Freeview Play on their hardware and their Android platform. Customer Service don’t answer the phone, or she they do, they repeatedly claim not to be able to hear you. If they have telephone problems in their call centre surely their monitoring software would alert them to the issues. I bitterly regret buying this TV. It’s close to failing the test of being of ‘merchantable quality’.

Compré el TV el 8 de octubre de 2022, en noviembre empezo a perder canales y en dicimebre no se veía ninguno El día 10 de enero del 2023 lo retiró el servicio técnico y me lo devuelven el día 18 sin hacerle ninguna reparación y diciendome que el problema es mio.

We bought this as a replacement for a 24 inch tv that was at end-of-life after a good few working. The improvement is fantastic. Not just going up to the 32 inch size, but the quality of the picture is just great. We are so glad we made the change to Sony TV.

Llevo poco tiempo de uso y de momento parece que cubre las expectativas aunque debo de manifestar que deberían corregir la información de la programación (epg) se ve demasiado oscuro y deja de oírse el sonido de la cadena que estás viendo y eso es un fallo que en los otros modelos que he tenido no ocurría.

Youview channels depends only on the internet connection to be able to watch them, unlike the freeview channels that needs to be tuned and have a good signal to be able to watch them. We recommend that you make sure of your reception connection to receive a good signal for channels. Molto deludente

Ho acquistato questo televisore pochi giorni fa, sostituendo un Sony precedente. Ho sempre acquistato tv Sony (questo ė il mio quarto) perché li ho sempre ritenuti di qualità superiore. Fino ad ora. Premetto che sono un utilizzatore esperto di tecnologia, per cui sapevo di non acquistare il top di gamma, ma questo televisore, scelto perché non amo i gli schermi grandi e non ne ho necessità, si ė rilevato molto molto deludente. Oltre a non riuscire a fare cose che ormai nel 2022 avrei ritenuto scontate, come creare una lista dei canali preferiti (cosa che sembrerebbe possibile da help, ma non nei fatti) sono rimasto sbalordito di non trovare la compatibilità con AirPlay e di scoprire che collegando via HDMI la tv al mio impianto AV Denon la barra di regolazione del volume sparisce e si va solo…. ad orecchio. Capisco che Sony non fa leva sui 32”, ma ad un costo di listino di più di 400 euro (altissimo rispetto alla media di mercato per questa dimensione) questo prodotto ė inaccettabile. Infine aggoingerei che anche l’estetica ė molto dozzinale, ma speravo compensasse con altri pregi. Penso che lo rivenderò presto, ovviamente perdendoci dei soldi.

Great TV, but...

We have had this for about a month and what a great TV it is. I can't get over the fact that the picture is so good on WiFi/Internet, it's better than the satellite. The only issue we've had is because we purchased a Sonos Ray with the tv, and we've been trying to get them working together ever since. I wish I hadn't bought the Sonos now. Don't get me wrong, I had a Sonos technician on the phone for two hours, he emailed two links to Sony site then I did a firmware update and now I can turn off the speakers but can't use the remote for the Sonos Ray. This is a technical issue that may never get resolved, but there's no complaints about the quality of the picture from the TV it's great.

Feel very disappointed with the quality

Bought the Sony KD-32W800 TV back in May direct from Sony. Hit a string of problems in September, reported to Sony. Given a bit of a run around. Advised to reset to factory settings at least three times, could be four. So many exchanges of e-mails. Why wasn't I informed it was a known problem? Only this week did I receive an update stating that the problems have been addressed and was provided with a link to a S/W update. I have always purchased Sony products, TV's, AV, DSLR Cameras, Compact Cameras, Lenses, Headphones, Earpods and have always felt that these were quality products. Very disappointed with the quality of the KD-W32800 and the way my problems have been handled.
