We recommend to use the HDD Performance Check option if recording to the hard drive has failed.

NOTE: The HDD Performance Check will simulate a recording with the highest possible bitrate, which exceeds the requirements for many other areas of usage. This means that a hard drive, on which you have successfully recorded in the past, can still fail the performance check.
