I judge products on the totality of the item, including the user documentation. Too often, entirely satisfactory hardware is let down by the user documentation, as is the case here. I found the instruction sheet provided to be grossly inadequate and even the full manual of about 190 pages does not describe things well. So, my start with this item is only just beginning to make headway after several days and with two resorts so far to the support bot. I regret not buying a cheaper, larger, and more intuitive item, in fact I may send this one back to Amazon. Would I buy this item again? NO!

Had to purchase this, as I gave up with inferior, sub-£30 digital recorders that I purchased from online sellers. The Sony TX660 is not a budget recorder, due to it's premium price, but in very many cases with premium goods, you get what you pay for. I have purchased many USB digital recorders, which are very discreet, and can be used at functions such as weddings/marriage ceremonies etc. They provide basic quality sound of which some are better than others. These have disappeared from sale, to a greater extent, and I am not really surprised. The Sony TX660 has impressed with its excellent, clear, sound quality, which is adjustable, and can be tailored for many events like meetings, conferences, lectures, and the like. Voice quality that this thing picks up if worn as a pocket clip attached recorder is impressive. Once you have experimented with the various setting menus on the the OLED screen, and become more familiar with the small side buttons, which are small, but this is a small device, no wonder, you will not be disappointed with the sound results, once transferred to Laptop or PC. The Sony is a excellent piece of kit in a small, discreet, package, but at a price that reflects this.

Po dobrých zkušenostech s předchozí verzi jsem zakoupil ICD-TX660. První zkušenosti jsou trochu ovlivněné neoptimální konfiguraci s důsledkem zkrácení záznamu. Nikde jsem nenašel důležitou informaci o délce záznamu v závislosti na konfiguraci. Sony by měla dokumenty v českém jazyku nechat opravit někoho s dobrou zkušeností jazyka.

Pequeña, muy buena calidad en acabados y sonido

Es muy pequeña, pero con una estructura sólida y bien hecha,. El sonido a grabar es muy bueno, inclusive a distancia y el menú muy intuitivo. Merece la pena, pero es tan pequeña que ¡ojo! se puede perder fácilmente. Viene con funda para proteger, un buen detalle.
