De lens is gemaakt als een tank. AF is beetje traag, maar dat is normaal bij een Macro lens. Hij is goed voor portret,landschap en macro. Ik ben gewend om met Zeiss EF lenzen foto's te schieten, maar de 90mm kan zich zeker meteen aan Zeiss lenzen zoals de 100mm ZE. 3D pop Zeiss karakter is te zien op de foto's. Is ook een weather sealed lens. Fotos's zijn superscherp. Stabilisatie werkt ook perfect. Contrast, kleur, bokeh, scherpte, stabilisatie, lichtsterk, en bouwkwaliteit zijn gewoon perfect.

De SEL90mmF2.8 macro lens is een juweel : ontzettend scherp, met een prachtige luminositeit. De manuele scherpstelling bij moeilijke macrofotos gebeurt erg eenvoudig door de scherpstellingsring van de lens twee mm achteruit te trekken, en alle extra scherpstellingshulpen van de Sony alfa camera komen dan automatisch in werking. Als portretlens is de SEL90mmF2.8 ook uitermate geschikt , al verkies ik mijn SEL24-105 zoomlens door het comfort van de snelle uitsnitkeuze. De diafragma-opening van 2.8 levert een prachtige bokeh , maar dan moet je wel opletten voor een precieze scherpstelling op het onderwerp. Een prachtige lens voor een eerlijke prijs.

Das Objektiv SEL90M28G habe ich mir gekauft um die natur nahe in Bildern festzuhalten. Es läst mit Blend 2.8 viel Licht zum Sensor meiner A7M3. Es hat zwei schibe Schalter, Erster die Optischen Stabilisierung, zweiter die Auto Focus Vorwahl Bereiche für eine schnellere Fokussierung. Der Clou ist die Einstellung AF /MF die wurde in den FOCUS Ring Integriert was ich sehr gerne Nutze wenn plötzlich Insekten ins Bild kommen. Ein leicht zu handhabendes Objektiv für die Makro Fotografie mit feinem Bokeh.

Sehr gutes Objektiv für den Preis. Das Objektiv wird auf jeden Fall den Leuten, die sich ein Autofokus im Makrobereich wünschen weiterempfohlen. Allerdings Design ist bisschen veraltet und konnte daran gearbeitet werden. Z.B die Umstellung von AF auf MF wird durch das Versieben des Fokusrades folgen. D.h. wenn man unwillkürlich da ran kommen würde, wird sich das Fokusmode auf manuell bzw. anders rum umstellen. Das Problem konnte beispielsweise mit einem Knopf fürs Fokusmode (wie z.B auf 24-70mm f2.8, oder 70-200mm f4 und f2.8) gelöst werden.

A very sharp lens with beautiful bokeh, a pleasing colour rendition and no significant aberrations - outstanding optical performance. The 90mm focal length allows for a decent stand off from a macro subject of around 30cm (close to the minimum focusing distance) to allow for any lighting solutions you might want and causes little disturbance to active subjects. A very nice focal length for general photography too and could easily substitute for my 70-200 in many circumstances. On my A6700, the focal length is effectively 135mm, which was a prime I liked very much in my film days. The sliding focusing ring is very clever and works well to switch between AF and MF in a natural way while shooting. AF is fast and quiet and on the A6700, very accurate with spot focus. MF can be a bit touchy for macro but camera movement or a focusing rack is generally easier anyway. The built-in stabilisation is very effective, allowing me to hand-hold when previously I would have needed a support. The lens is not small but handles very nicely and its performance is such that the compromise with portability is easy to make. Well made and marked, this is an obvious choice for anyone interested in great quality macro work.

In 2019, I bought two of these brand new which ended up being returned and eventually refunded when the dealer (and Sony) could not find one which was sharp across the entire width of the shot at portrait to landscape distances, even stopped down to f/8. In 2024 I decided to try again with a used lens being offered at a very good price by a main dealer; on testing, it proved to be perfect. And made in 2019! I'm an experienced lens tester and photo magazine technical editor since the mid-1970s so I know my stuff on this. I had been using the Sony SAL A-mount 100mm instead because I found that perfect though not as advanced an optical design. Replaced!

J'ai utilisé le Sony FE 90 mm F2.8 Macro G OSS pour des projets macro, packshot et vidéo, et je dois dire que sa qualité optique est impressionnante. Les images sont d'une netteté exceptionnelle dès la pleine ouverture, et les détails qu'il capture sont vraiment époustouflants. La distorsion est maitrisée, ce qui en fait un objectif idéal pour les prises de vue précises et professionnelles. Mention spéciale pour la bague AF/MF que je trouve ingénieuse. Cependant, j'ai rencontré des problèmes majeurs. L'autofocus est un vrai point faible : il a tendance à patiner, surtout en photographie macro ou en basse lumière. Cela peut devenir frustrant lorsqu'on essaie de capturer des moments ou des sujets exigeant une mise au point rapide et précise. De plus, le moteur de l'autofocus est tout sauf silencieux. En pleine utilisation, il émet un bruit mécanique assez marqué, qui peut gêner dans des environnements calmes ou en vidéo. Pour un objectif de cette gamme, je m'attendais à une performance beaucoup plus discrète. Bien que la qualité de construction soit robuste et professionnelle, le poids de l'objectif se fait sentir après de longues sessions, ce qui peut nuire au confort d'utilisation. Bien que cet objectif ait des atouts indéniables sur le plan optique, ses faiblesses, notamment son autofocus bruyant et hésitant, ainsi que son poids, méritent d'être corrigées. J'espère vraiment que Sony proposera bientôt une version modernisée pour répondre aux attentes des utilisateurs exigeants comme moi.

Obiettivo serie G pazzesco non solo per le macro che ovviamente sono il suo punto di forza ma anche per i ritratti!! La ghiera per la messa a fuoco è geniale quando si deve passare da AF a MF ma la qualità delle immagini è un qualcosa di incredibile,esattamente come con la serie GM è anche troppo nitido e a volte applico filtri in post per ammorbidire la pelle. Obiettivo meraviglioso 👏👏

It is a joy to handle. It has quite an old-school feeling about it, but not too heavy. I have just played aroud with the features so far. The focus limiter swich is a good thing - otherwise it is likely to go a-hunting. I have a product photography job next week for which this lens is ideal.

Superba nitidezza

Obiettivo che nonostante si della serie G presenta una nitidezza fenomenale in particolare al centro. Ai bordi decade un pochino ma nulla di catastrofico. Montato su corpi APSC la nitidezza è superlativa invece da bordo a bordo otterrete scatti macro di grande impatto, mentre nei ritratti l’eccessiva nitidezza diventa quasi problematica perché risalta qualsiasi piccola imperfezione della pelle. L’AF è buono e fa il suo lavoro, nei corpi più moderni con il processore AI dedicato non sbaglia un colpo e tutto sommato è abbastanza veloce. Lo uso comunque in genere in manual focus dedicandomi esclusivamente a foto Macro. La costruzione è di alta qualità c’è molto metallo e le ghiere sono piacevolmente scorrevoli. La stabilizzazione forse è la cosa meno brillante ma comunque fa il suo sporco lavoro e garantisce di portare a casa molto scatti perfettamente nitidi. Lo consiglio a tutti ma in particolare a chi ha un corpo apsc dove secondo me raggiunge il suo apice diventando un 135 macro con fattore 1.5X

Vor ein paar Wochen gekauft und auf keinem Fall bereut! Das Objektiv ist wunderbar um in die Welt der Makrofotografie abzutauchen, um kleine Dinge ganz groß zum Vorschein zu bringen. Konnte es kaum erwarten in den Wald zu gehen und ausgiebig zu testen, war direkt begeistert von der Abbildungsleistung was das Objektiv kann. Hätte mir dieses Objektiv schon viel früher holen sollen!!!

I brought this primarly for macro and I have to say its one of the sharpest lens you can buy its a fantasticly sharp and with that 1x magniication you get amazing detail also its a fantasic portrait lens with that f2.8 give a beautiful bokeh background and at a fantastic price point for a prime lens of this quaility

Ik heb deze lens al een tijdje in bezit en eigenlijk gebruik ik 'm niet. De reden is dat bij 1:1 vergroting de scherpte het af laat weten bij f/2.8. Ik heb de lens bij Kamera Express al eens omgeruild voor een andere, maar het resultaat bleef hetzelfde. Ook vanaf statief (met en zonder AF) bleef de onscherpte. Dus voor een macrolens een misaankoop. Daarentegen is de Laowa 85mm macrolens (manual focus) een veel betere optie. Die is scherp op f/2.8 bij een vergroting van 2:1 en dan ook nog eens voordeliger in prijs. Dus
