Sony Notebook Utilities, Version 1.0 for Microsoft® Windows® 7

This utility will install the originally shipped version of the Sony Notebook Utilities for the Sony VAIO® computers listed below

1. Battery Checker 4.7.0.09200
2. VAIO Control Center 5.1.0.09300
3. VAIO Power Management 5.6.0.09190

IMPORTANT NOTES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

For a clean installation Windows 7 64-bit OS: before installing the Sony Notebook Utilities package must do the following steps for the hotkeys work properly:

1. install all drivers
2. install Sony Shared Library
3. install Sony Notebook Utilities

Warning! This utility is only for use with the following Sony VAIO® Computers:
VPCCA4;VPC-CA4;VPCCB4; VPC-CB4
Do not install this utility with any other model of computer (including other Sony computers sold worldwide).

During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.

To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.

It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download And Installation Instructions

Please follow the steps below to download and install the SOAOTH-61400000-0042.EXE program.

1. Download the SOAOTH-61400000-0042.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAOTH-61400000-0042.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the “User Account Control” window, click the “Yes” button.
4. At the “Select Country” screen, select the country for the installation and click the “Next” button.
5. At the "Welcome to Sony Notebook Utilities Setup Program" window, click the “Next” button.
6. Read the Software License Agreement and click the "I Agree" button.
7. A restart is required during the installation. The installation is automatically continuing after the computer boots into the windows. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. .
8. Click “OK” to restart the computer
9. At the "Finish" screen, click the “Finish” button.
10. At “Select Country” please select the country you want for this installation and click “Next”
11. At the "Welcome to Sony Notebook Utilities Setup Program" and click “Next”
12. Read the Software License Agreement and click "I Agree"
13. At the "Finished" screen, click Finish.
14. At “This system must be restarted to complete the installation click “OK” to restart the computer

The installation of the Sony Notebook Utilities is completed.
