Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to get control of their HX9V via the TV remote using a HMDI cable and a BRAVIA Sync compatible TV.

I have connected my HX9V to my Sony KDL-40HX803 and followed the instructions from the manual (Viewing an image on a "BRAVIA" Sync-compatible TV), by the letter, and still no control even after trying 3 separate HDMI ports. The TV does provide HDMI control over my Sony Blu-ray (BDP-S470) and my Yamaha AV amp (RX-V2067) so is it the camera or the cable?

Any ideas gratefully received!

Tony

Hi Tony, welcome to the Sony Forums

As you've not had a reply in the last few days, my guess would be you might have more success on the Bravia forum; however I have managed to find an online i-Manual for this setup which you might not have seen:

    http://esupport.sony.com/docs/imanual/NA/EN/2a-3/brsync_uc.html

There's a troubleshooting section there which might also help. One thing it does imply is that the camera be used to power on the TV, which might be a necessary first step.

Sorry this isn't really my area of expertise – if you've already tried this or seen that manual I could move this discussion to the Bravia forum or you could just re-post there, as you please.

    Cheers

    Mick

I'm having the same problem using a 1.3 HDMI lead and setting both the camera and tv to HDMI control on.

is it a lead problem or a bravia sync problem with the HX9V camera.
