Hi all,

I have just received my new Sony Vaio E series. The trackpad doesn't have separate buttons for Left click and Right click like most traditional laptops, but this makes it impossible to do a middle click (where you press both left and right at the same time). I press middle click all the time for browsing the web, in order to open new tabs etc, and it's so ingrained in my web browsing that not being able to do it is proving very frustrating does anyone know whether it's possible to do a middle click on the new Vaio's somehow?

I would be grateful for any help. Thanks!

    Hi arshad91,

I haven’t seen this in practice but according to the manual placing three fingers on the pad and sliding from side to side should provide the back/forward operation within the browser.

To back or forward without moving the pointer
On the software that supports the back/forward function, such as a web browser, put three fingers on the touch pad and slide them from side to side to perform the back/forward operation without moving the pointer.”
