Hi, i have a bravia KDL 40EX503 that is less than 2 years old and rarely used.  The screen went blank during use. The power buttons are lighting up but the screen rermains blank.  Is this terminal. Is it a fault with this model.

    More details please! Does it work on the handset (batteries?).

    We can switch to power on using the handset but that is all that happens.  The furthest we got a couple of days ago was the Sony logo appearing on the screen before it reverted to blank. Don't even get that now!

    was the tv going through an update process if this is the case and it was interrupted this may cause the device not to work

    No we were using our PS3 at the time

    if it's out of warranty maybe check to see if any fuses have blown the mains supply  is live ?

    So you were using your PS3 and the screen went black? Can you do a factory reset via handset? See if this changes anything.
