Sony rdr-dc100 EPG doesn't display programme information

My Grandad owns an RDR-DC100 hdd/dvd recorder. He's been having a few problems with it recently and I have upgraded the firmware to V1.05

Since upgrading the firmware the EPG no longer displays any programme information meaning it is difficult to shecdule and recording.

Any ideas?

I have an RDR-DC90 and the EPG has the same issue. I, like you, did the version upgrade to 1.05 (system 1 upgrade) and tho that has been achieved okay. The EPG is still not working... Manual recording also does not work. Tuning finds channels, they just do not appear in the guide. Update is ON.
I'm not absolutely sure that this is what fixed the problem, but what I did was go thru the process of selecting Guide Plus as an alternative EPG, manual updating of the new EPG and then, re-setting for freeview. Two miintes later I have EPG again! But what a palaver. I am thinking to rent digital equipment in future - if it doesn't work, call them in to fix or replace!
