I've given up with sony now - rooted and changed region to usa - instantly got the update to ics ota and quite like it. rooting involves 2 downloads and a couple of clicks, nothing more! when I come to upgrade my tablet I'll be looking to Samsung I think

I use my galaxy s2 as a hotspot for those rare occasions I dont have wifi but need the big screen. 3 do a plan for about 30quid that includes unlimited data

I thought I was doing something wrong but I've got the same issue on my hifi - the tablet has learnt all the buttons except the AUX and USB, the two ways I listen to music.

I just googled your error code and it shows the ps store as down for maintenance. just keep trying a couple of times a day

go to settings>applications>unknown sources and make sure the checkbox is ticked. that should sort it.

To be honest this has really pissed me off.

If Sony had and has no plans to make accessories for the tablet they should have made the charging port a widely recognised one, usb as just one example. I have been recommending this tablet to my friends as being so user friendly in all aspects. This makes a mockery of that.

try and get it to run fully out of power and then use a pin to press and hold the reset button for a count of 30. Then plug it in, let it charge for at least 15mins and try to turn it on.

I'll be surprised if that works as it sounds like the tablet is having trouble loading Android, so take it back and get it replaced is your most likely plan of attack.

the default browser is the best on the tablet imo. Have you tried ubersocial for twitter? it has LivePreview setting, meaning in landscape mode the twitter feed is on the left, with the content of the link shown on the right (similar to the email viewed in landscape).

This is an android issue. Hopefully it'll be fixed in Ice Cream Sandwich when that is released. in the meantime go into your google account on a desktop, and in the sync settings untick the picasa box. Then on your tablet use a file manager find the thumbnails and delete them from SD card.

I don't know about using the IR remote, bug I use unified remote over wifi to control my pc. It's got around 30 remotes, from simple mouse and keyboard to media remotes. I highly recommend it, and it has a free version you can use.

with dropbox, check where the picture is being downloaded to. I personally use fish bowl pictures as it has a media scanner in the advanced settings.

Or an easier way is to upload your photos to picasa. they will then automatically appear in the gallery with an option to make available offline

on your tablet you need to go to the market and search for kindle

download the app

open the app and sign in/ register with your amazon email address and password. this 'registers' your tablet to your amazon account. you can browse ebooks from in the app, or...

on the pc go to amazon and sign in

you then want to click on 'shop kindle ebooks'

as a test, search for sherlock and a free sherlock holmes book should be the top link. click it

on the right hand side you should see a buy now with 1click and underneath the name of your tablet

now go into your kindle app

top right is the settings button, click that and select sync now and check for items.

the book will download as you watch
